An overnight camp is a different trip from a kashta, and the thing that separates the people who enjoy the second day from the people who leave early is being able to wash. A portable shower is a rechargeable pump on a hose: drop it in any bucket or tank, hang the head from the roof rack or the privacy tent, and you have running water. Leave the bucket in the afternoon sun and the water is warm by evening. It rinses the sand off kids, dishes and feet, and charges from the car.

No — it pumps whatever temperature the bucket is. A dark bucket in the afternoon sun is the camp's water heater.
